Mito Engine Noise

I have a 1.4 16V Lusso 95 (09 Plate) and recently it has been making a strange whirring noise. It is quite noticable on start up and idle but seems to die down a little in higher gears and when the revs drop. The noise seems to follow the rise and fall of the engine which makes me think it might be a belt on its way out...

Wondering if anyone can give me a hint on what it might be? I've got it booked into the garage for the weekend but I like to have a clue what I'm talking about before the guy tries to rip me off.

Turned out to be the air-con pump. Making a bit of noise but still functional. 350 to repair so I didn't bother.
