Hmmm 155 Q4 alternatorīs belt

Hi guys!

I have a little problem to my Q4. The alternator`s belt screaming like a pig. I donīt have any garage place, so I can`t take it of and go to the dealer and get new one.

I need some specs about that belt. How long and wide is that belt? Is the belt same as normal 16 valve motor? I think it isn`t same

I need help because finnish alfa dealer canīt help me even with the spark plugs

The car is awesome, so I like to keep it on the streets

......Indeed your engine is not a normal Alfa 16v.
.......It is essentially the engine from a Lancia Delta Intergrale with some minor detailing differences............this should make parts even harder to find!........I know that much.
.......I expect someone with a better knowledge of Q4's will post here eventually

Re: 155 Q4 alternatorīs belt

Hi, welcome to AO!
Before you replace the belt I would check that whether it is too loose or too tight, this will normally be the cause of squeekiness.

If you need a new one try http://www.ebspares.co.uk/ they will post worldwide,

Im suprised the dealer cant get you the parts! normally a if you give them any part number they will source it from factory.

Part No, is - 7646849

Re: 155 Q4 alternatorīs belt

Thank you all!
I came to my "master"-mechanic and he take the belt off and we find the new one at the local spareparts market. The belt was in bad condition. The mechanic tighten the another belt there too . So the car is now lot of quiet than before. Iīm a happy man today. My darling is in good condition now

Ps. alternator`s belt is 1038 mm long, mine was 1045. that was the reason why it screaming like a pig.
