Loose manifold bolt??

Morning all,

I have a new 916 V6 (12V) and whilst diligently polishing my pipes for the first time, I saw that the attached bolt (allen key bolt with rubber washers) in the middle of this picture is loosely spinning and won't tighten up at all Everything seems solid up there though, but a free spinning bolt??

Please let me down gently if this is a sign my new engine is finito benito

I think the bolt you're concerned about is one of the ones that holds the plenum to the rear cam cover. These often strip the threads as people overtighten them. If you wanted you could helicoil it, but it'll probably be fine as it is.

Garage
Do you mean you have anew engine. if so take it back to the supplier and see if you can get them to fix the problem. They will do as sprint has mentioned.
As it is all alloy it is easy to do your self should you need to.
