My lovely Alfa... now on Death Row due to a radiator

My Alfa was fantastic for 8 years but for the last two years it's had a recurring problem that has me at the end of my tether. If I can't fix it then the car has to go. I love the Alfa but I need a car I can drive!

So here we go:

2.5 yrs ago my big end bearing failed, I opted to replace the whole engine at a reputable dealer and since then it has blown over 10 radiators.

In fact I posted on here a year ago:

and here:

So to pick up from last year the car has now had a new radiator cap, then a new cylinder head, then a reground engine block, then a new engine block and finally whole new engine. The symptoms are as follows: the car does about 200-500 miles after repair, it drives fine except the temperature gauge seems to be on the low side. Then quite suddenly it bursts at the top on the left hand side. The coolant empties and the AA come to get it. For the first 5 or so radiators this happened more gradually... now it's sudden.

The reputable garage that have been trying to rectify this say that the radiator is mounted properly, and changing the whole engine should surely have removed the chance that exhaust gas is pressurising? So what can be the problem? The heater works fine and the water pump seems to be circulating water properly.

Please help- I don't want to send the car for scrap but this is just ridiculous.
