As per title, alloy top 2ltr twinspark engine and have just been offered a good deal on a good quality 5w 40 oil and wanted to verify if it was a valid replacement for my engine?

I use 10/60 fully synth in mine, but 5/40 5/60 will do the job just as well

Hi

5w-40 is generally ideal to replace a 10w-40. This might help to explain viscosity.
