Alfa Romeo 156 2.0 JTS - Thermostat

Hi all,

I recently had the coolant system renewed on my 156. However, I have noticed recently that the thermostat is taking a while to get near the right temperature.

Time a for a new one?

I hope you can help.

Thermostat failure is very common on these engines.

As far as I know the JTS stat is the same as the TS, and it has been covered on here a few times before.

I stand corrected, however the fitting of them should be pretty much the same.

There are two types of TS stats also, one has an extra pipe from the housing.

Have the same problem. Hardly creep above 50, unless I'm sitting in a traffic jam then it creeps up to around 90.

Also had a diagnostic check and it showed up as a faulty temerature censor. Whether that is influential, I don't really know until I get it checked.
