P1175/cylinder no3 codes GT JTS 2005

Any thoughts on where now?

MAF replaced (that came up as a code)
Spark plugs replaced
No obvious splits on main air intake
Injectors new (when head swapped after cam failure)

Battery? Voltage looks ok but..

Fully check the air intake hoses after the MAF. There could be a split underneath it.

Thanks - I have been wondering about that - I'll double check it.

Compression test cylinder 3. Have you checked the coil pack?

Yep, thanks been thinking along those lines next. It's possible the valves weren't touched when the head was swopped with the new injectors. They would have about 120k on them now. Thrash it hard and the misfire clears, but comes back at low rpm. Eliminated the coil packs and battery.

Turned out to be No 3 injector. Took a lot of investigating by a very experienced technician to isolate with his code reader showing up all sorts of issues. It was getting fractionally warm when they pulsed it on the bench. Had damaged the ECU which was sending back erratic signals. And not helped by a missing air intake gasket when the failed head was swopped over from the 156 just over a year ago by someone else along with those new injectors I'd already had done. Going to be interesting what Bosch say. Not a lot I guess..
