Copper injector seals removal!!

I am sat in the Alfa on the hottest day of the year trying to get 2 copper injector seals out lol. I have both injectors out but the old seals seem to be fused to the head and I have nothing to get them out with.

Can anyone recommend an easy way of getting them out or do I have to buy the seat cutting tool?

Plug the holes that lead into the cylinders and spray with carb cleaner, it'll break the carbon down that's jamming them...

Take a big flat screwdriver and hammer a slot into the copper ring,
then put a lever to the screwdriver and turn.

i use a large cross head screw driver, hammer the screw driver into the washer, then lift the washer out.

Just a thought but are you certain that the washers are in there and not been left out previously.

I used a long coach bolt to get a slightly stubborn washer out, the thread was just the right size to grip and turn the washer

Contact spray, leave it for a bit then try hammer it.

Just to update problem sorted.

after 2 days I decided to go at it again and because the engine was cold they popped straight out.

Before I was trying it on a warm engine duh!

Thanks for all the comments and help.

Did you recut the seats before refitting, its a good idea to as the kit is only about £25 on ebay.

I also gave my injectors a thin coating of anti seize grease.

I didn't recut the seats but I did clean them so they basicly looked new with small pieces of sponge sprayed lightly with carb cleaner using some forceps.
