V6 Piston and Rod

Had a watery issue in a 'small' flood and managed to hydraulic one of the pistons and rods on my 1999 GTV 3L V6. I can see the crunched rod through the sump, the engine only has 40K on it so i would ideally like to salvage it with one replacement rod and piston. Anyone know of anyone with one of each???? Someone blown an engine for another reason and may have some bits? I can take off 1 head (crack check) and replace the one piston and rod, new cam belt, gasket and could be back an running for a modest cost. Otherwise its a doner engine!!

Any help appreciated.

Hi Martin,

This chap on ebay is doing exactly what you are after but unfortunately for 2.5 not 3 litre...

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ALFA-166-2...item564f5e2369

He has pistons for twin sparks too, maybe worth contacting him to see if he as a 3 litre ripe for stripping?

Good Luck,
Mike

I've got the parts in stock. Likely you will need a cylinder liner for that affected cylinder as well. Give me a ring if you still need the parts 01582 869 560
