New engine time - reputable sellers in the West Midlands?

As the title said, its time for a new engine after a big end failure.

There's a few on eBay for around £300, but I'd prefer to buy from somewhere that I can see it for myself before I buy.

Also, I reckon I stopped the engine in time to avoid the worst of the damage could be done. Is it worth putting on eBay as a potential rebuild, or best to just scrap it?

Cheers,

Tom.

You might find if you buy one from a reputable rebuilder, he'll want yours in exchange ... to rebuild and sell on ...

I Find Steve at Clarkes, Oldbury very reasonable. Friendly helpful bloke sensible prices etc. 07580 554160

However buying a second hand engine is always going to be a gamble. Even apparantly good engines can fail without warning.
