147 TS 2.0 Engine suddenly drops dead

Hi, I was on the highway yesterday and suddenly my 147 Ts 2.0 engine drops dead and "Motor control system" icon lit.
Just before engine died i felt a small almost not noticeable "Blip" , when i tried to start it again it didn´t give me a single egnition, plain dead.

After a few minutes it just started and ran as nothing ever had happend, a few miles futher up the road i felt a small "blip" again and it dropped dead again

So basically engine runs fine for a while then drops dead, starts for a while, drops dead

I have run the multiECUscan software but it didn´t give me any information as I could see

Any suggestions where to start looking??

Regard

Sounds like you need a new crank sensor to me, they are typical symptoms of crank sensor failure.

Wondered what multiECUscan was ... now know ... new name for FiatECUScan ...

Surprised you don't get an error code, but it might only show when the sensor has a problem ... what interface cable are you using??

Hi, called the local Alfa workshop and they told me the same regarding the Sensor, after the sensor has been changed my 147 works fine, I managed to get MultiECUscan to work after some update. thanks for the quick posts

this is my scan and I found some Errors, I know AC is not working because of broken Presure Switch

I tried to locate code in this thread https://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/alfa-...-ii-codes.html
but it gave me some strange answers what was wrong with my car and the codes I have pulled from the ECU??

Anyone knows of a thread that list all codes for a 147 Ts 2.0

Regards
