2.5 v6 engine & gearbox for £100 - I'd like the gearbox, anyone 4 the engine?

Hi - i've been looking out for a gearbox for a while now - one has just come up, but it's a bit complicated. It's collection only from Liverpool. The seller wants £100 for both the engine and the gearbox. I only have a need for the gearbox. Is there anyone that would be interested in the engine.. and be able to go and collect it.. and then ship me the gearbox? I'd pay £50, so you could have the engine for £50. It's done 98k from a 2000 (v reg) car. It had a new cambelt, tensioners etc 4k miles ago from Alfatune. It's being broken for spares. Could be a cracking deal if anyone can get there to remove the parts.. ? Can you help?

Looks like the buyer also needs to remove the engine & box from the car..

Its OK mate, not worth my while driving to Liverpool, removing an engine & box probably with zero garage equiptment available, getting it somehow into a van and bringing it back to Bedfordshire. Thats a day's work, 400 mile's worth of fuel, and a hundred quid, starts to add up when you consider that.

good point I'm even cheaper than usual at the moment, got no work in this month, so can't really afford to spend on this gearbox. hence why im digging out these deals.. I just know you guys will be out of my price range, as much as I'd like to get it off you for ease, and piece of mind.

Presumably as there are no facilities you could remove the engine with a stihl saw? Or plasma?

I did that on a Punto 1.2 16v once when I had no ramp available, cutting everything was probably more work than removing it the normal way! And very messy, chopping through power steering pipes with a 3" grinder...
