Resistance of a coil pack

Hi all.

I have recently purchased a 2.0 JTS 03 plate and its a great drive

Soon after purchasing the 'Motor Control Failure - Go to dealer' warning appeared. Very shocked as it appeared the day after purchase after looking under the cover I noticed water in the coil housing. I wiped it all up and dried off the coils and the message vanished which was a relief.

I now also use 10-60 Castrol Oil which seems to last longer an most as I heard that oil burns in the upper cylinders to cool the engine.

Yesterday I changed my spark plugs to Denson Twin Tips and noticed plug 1 was hardly marked and 2,3 !and 4 had carbon build up.

Any ideas?

Do I have low resistance on this coil or is it something else.

How can I test the resistance of a coil.

I can tell you for a Twinspark, Primary resistance is 0.3 ohms + or - 12% and secondary resistance is 7 K ohms + or - 12%. Hope that helps.

Check the Comp.Ratio for a twinny versus a V6 the coil pack resistance may square up the same. Not sure, but worth comparing?
