Help Injector advice needed

I am quite new to diesel ownership and my 1.9 JTD 16V MJet idles roughly accompanied by a smell of unburnt diesel.

After taking a look using FiatECUScan I see that one injectors correction values are completely out of sync with the other three.

On the graph above you can see the engine start at idle then revved to about 1700, 2000 then up to 3000 rpm then back to idle.

Inj correction for 1,3 & 4 all follow a similar pattern as shown on the graph (represented by the trace of inj 3)

Inj correction for 2 starts about +5 at idle as the revs rise it goes down to about +1.5 and then back up to near +5 as the engine goes back to idle.

So yes I understand I have a problem with Inj 2 but my question is, is the injector completely knackered or could it just need cleaning?

Any thoughts appreciated.

You could try cleaning the nozzle, this is a good guide.https://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/alfa-...orrection.html
You will need to change the copper washer seals on the injectors or they will leak , vauxhall 1.9 diesel z19dht seals on ebay for a few quid are the same

FiatECUScan also showed the total amount of fuel being used at idle was more than at 2000 revs whilst stationary

Cleaning injector 2 wont help much... corrections that high are a sign of something going wrong near a solenoid valve... You can try using injector cleaner fuel add-on, but I would not expect too much from it.

You will probably need to replace the injector...
