156 v6 cambelt

Hi all, how much should a cambelt change cost? I've been quoted 600ish by Howard @ All-italia all in for the belt, tensioners and water pump.

I live near Chester JIC anyone knows somewhere cheaper.

Re: 156 v6 cambelt

I live near Chester too! I can suggest someone who will do the work for 25 an hour but it comes with certain warnings.
The garage looks erm.... a bit rough
They work mostly on large commercial stuff.

Having said that they were very helpful with my gearbox problems and sorted them out in the end. Nice guys just don't expect suits and blonde wood waiting areas
They picked up my car on a flatbed lorry for free.
Delivered it when they had finished (a few times).
Gave me a lift home everytime.
They aren't interested in makling mark-up on parts either - I supplied my own clutch cos I could get it cheaper.

And no I don't work there but I am probably related to them (it's in Wales )

Sounds about right. Its a dear doing in the V6, but worth it.

Call mangoletsi for a dealer menu-priced comparison as they are near you.

E.S Jones in Dobshill is probably closer then Mangoletsi. They are a Alfa dealer now. Along with Hyundai and Suzuki Dear god what is the world coming to?
