engine conversions

i have a 156 2.0ts big end gone due to poor oil flow i also have 156 2.5 v6 poor bodywork can i put the v6 in to the 2.0 tspark if so how big a job are the electrics and what would i need to change in order to run the v6. thanks

Alot but mainly the advantage is that you have the full 2.5 car. You will have to change the loom, the pedal box everything the key code box etc. It's a lot of work, if you're good at mechanics you could manage it but I'd say it would be hard otherwise.

Its a simple job, but a long one.

Step 1: Strip TS down to bare chassis
Step 2: Strip V6 down to bare chassis
Step 3: Fit all parts removed from V6 to TS.

Obviously while you've got it all apart you can sort out every last little thing, and build the car up to be better than new standard, but its so much effort and you'll get through a lot of parts, consumables etc. You have to ask yourself is it worth it. You'd be better off selling the 2.5 and using the money to buy a good used or reconditioned 2.0 TS engine I reckon.

on my 2nd t spark 2.0 engine already just dont seem to have any luck with them came across the v6 for stupid money and the engine is a1 plus fell in love with the sound of it had to give it a go cant bear to have my velocie laid up on the drive any more. thanks i will keep you posted on how she goes.
