-Fuel filter is part of the gas tank/pump and doesnt need replacemetn over the life of the vehicle (petrol engines)
- You may be talking about fuel vapor recirculation system, this includes some active coal canister and purge valve that releases them into the intake plenum. Canister is located under the front right wing, behind the inner wheel arch and its connected with hoses with push on connectors to the intake plenum.

Not 100% correct...
Some of the 2.0JTS cars DO have separate replaceable fuel filters.
Located under the car just in front of the fuel tank.

I still don't understand the original question though!!

Do you have a diagnostic system to check what the actual problem is? FiatECUScan or AlfaDiag both run on laptops and with a VAG-COM KKL interface cable.

Are you saying you are going to swap your JTS engine for a GTA? No that isn't an easy swap .. the GTA is a V6 and you will need the complete wiring loom, ECU, gearbox, suspension ... you may as well buy a GTA and sell your JTS ...

Thanks and yes they have the FiatECUScan but the alfa romeo deler say that they not sure about this maybe have to change 1 coil or the o2sensor 4 pcs... to stop the show of the symbol Motor Control System Failure and for the 3.2 GTA i will buy all of the front half with all of the 3.2 GTA Engines and with all the part in the cut of the front half from marlaysia and for my old JTS 2.0 i will sale it to Marlaysia they say that this Engines is save for the oil energy and only 49,000 Km. they say they know how to fix this Engine so they give me a good price but if the symbol stop after i change 1 of the Coil and the 4o2sensor i will keep it the 2.0jts

i'am going to the Alfa romeo Dealer next week to change 1 of the coil and i will ask them for the fault codes fault codes is the number right ? but last time they say that
1.> Maybe change 1 of the coil to see if it work
2.> Maybe because of the oil i need to use Benzin 95 not Gasolhal 95
3.> Maybe because of the o2 Sensor 4x pcs...
Always maybe This is the only Alfa romeo dealer in Thailand we use to have 3-4 Alfa romeo dealer
in Thailand 6 til about 10 year ago Alfa romeo been very famous car Back on the past. the model of 156 147 GT All the gear is salespeed but after 6-7year pass the gear system break and along with lot of thing happen lot of the symbol show and seem like nobody know how to fix the car so i think that if i order a manual gear box not alot of electronic will be better stronger not easy to break down so i did order but too bad that all of the Alfaromeo Dealer are close down and no more new model of romeo in Thai for the second hand one2car for alfa romeo now is very very cheap price and yet people still don't buy they like the look of the car but lot of people fear and say that alfa romeo the car is so weak and the part are hard to find and very expensive Service and yet it still break the some time they change almost everything but the funny thing is only the battery like one of the forums said now only one dealer left call Thai Prestige Auto Sales i hope this one stay and this is all information about Alfa romeo in Thailand people in Thai that have alfa romeo156 are starting to change from the 2.0 TS engines to 3.2 Gta and the gear system after 6-10 year but for me i love Alfa romeo Fixing the car is now become part of my life now If i don't have romeo i will fell some thing is missing in my life need to make more money

One way to save money is to get FES ( Fiat Ecu Scan )

FiatECUScan - Fiat, Alfa, Lancia ECU Reader / Scanner

With

http://cgi.ebay.ca/ALFA-FIAT-VAGCOM-...item23117a4824

Read you own fault codes and do live diagnostics.

"Gasolhal 95" is 90% Petrol and 10% Ethanol.
Have you tried normal "Benzin 95" ?

Do not go buying new O2 sensors and coils just to see if it cures the fault, get the fault codes read first! I had the same problem lately, as the car was under warranty the dealer checked the code (P0420) which means high signal on Bank 1, sensor 2 (inefficient catalyser), and replaced the sensor (£76). Twenty miles later the Motor Control System Failure light came on again, same code. So I spoke to an Alfa specialist who told me that with the JTS, 9 times out of 10 it is just a bad connection with the O2 sensor plug, and to clean them all as well as possible with electrical contact cleaner. So far the code has not re-appeared. Please try cleaning the connectors first before spending all your money on new sensors.

Another thing: you say there is no loss in performance? If you had a broken coil, you would DEFINITELY notice a change in performance.

Probably more than 9 times out of 10...!
Lambda errors on the 2.0JTS started very quickly after launch.
There is a fault in the design of the connectors and the pins don't push far enough into the socket.
Your contact cleaner will help a lot if it is the cleaner lube type.
