Unidentified engine

Can anybody tell me anything about this engine? I've never seen one here in South Africa before. It was being used to power a water pump.

Probably a 2.0V6 Turbo.
They were used in: 166/GTV/Spider/164

Aye.. it's the 2ltr v6 beast made for tax-break reasons. A 2ltr motor had much lower vehicle excise duty in Italy and probably a few other places..

here it is from another angle. Its being advertised as a diesel motor. Im not convinced its a v6??? The "Alfa Romeo" lettering looks to be in quite an old style.

The 70/80 car Diesels were all 4-cyl.

I don't know what the Alfa vans/trucks used though.

Saw one on holiday in Bulgaria. Defo 33 1.8 turbo diesel. England never got them thank god.

It was in a taxi and sounded god awful. Mind you it had done 400,000 + kms
