Alfa Timing Belt Change Special Offer From Alfa Workshop

I needed a belt change on my Spider and I spotted this offer. Even with a 540 mile round trip to get there it is still much cheaper. I see there are recommendations for the garage on this forum so I am booked in for this Wednesday. I will let you know how I get on. The offer only lasts until Christmas! This is the link:

As with any cambelt quote...... it is always worth noting the items that are not listed, but will need replacing, adding to the cost of the job.

I can only see rocker cover gaskets and the variator seal for the twin sparks, unless you have noticed anything else.

This is a bargain.. Almost cheaper than diy if you include the cost of the tools.

Hi,
As posted, I drove the 270 miles to get the Cam belt fitted first thing Wednesday. No problems at all, exactly what it said on the tin no hidden charges. I also had some additional work carried out. All done at reasonable cost and even including the extra work and petrol for 540 mile trip, it still worked out cheaper than the dealer in Cardiff for just the belt. Good, friendly service from knowledgeable people. Would certainly recommend and use again. Hopefully they will be doing another special offer in 3 years (or 36K miles from now).
They have a waiting room with an Internet PC which was useful for killing the time. There is new information on their website with lots of "How to" for common problems. Here is the link for the cam-belt offer, you can access the site from there.

A new water pump was recommended to me (and fitted) when I had mine done at 72(ish)k.

On a TS? It probably makes sense to do it, they are not dear or difficult to fit.

I had my 147s belt done at Alfaworkshop a year ago, i agree with the comments regarding the service. Not sure about cost but the guys at Autolusso are equally as knowledgable imho so shouldn't be overlooked unless price is the decisive factor.

£350 inc VAT for belt, tensioner, idler and water pump

I donít think that was aimed at me but I shamelessly jumped in, Jamie will be about the same
