Measures pressure inside the inlet manifold.. They read wrong when they get dirty.

Manifold
Absolute
Pressure

It measures the air pressure in the inlet manifold.
Very critical in a Turbo engine.

Not many people think to do it but if you type part numbers into Google, very often it will find the item ,tell you what it is and who sells them. In this case part number 0 281 002 844. Find the most promising result and you find your answers. (not that anyone minds answering here!) Hit the translate page button and it says its a boost pressure sensor(ie MAP sensor as said)

Oh it's rather important then !! Il be nice and give it a gentle clean then

No I've never thought about typing the numbers into google but I will now it's a great idea thanks !!

Also does any one know the size of the torx near the cam belt ? It's the only thing stopping me taking the manifold off ! Haven't got a torx big enough to fit !
