Twinspark firing on two cylinders

Hi!

I lady I know has a 2000 model 2.0 156 Twin spark. She is more or less leaving it to me, as she is sadly leaving the country.

The problem with it is that it only fires on two cylinders. I haven't seen or heard the car yet, but I assume the engine does tick over and runs.

What could cause the misfire ?
Sparkplugs & electrical issues would be the start perhaps ?
If the engine does run, I wouldn't think there can be problems with the valves ?

How expensive can it be (best / worst case) ?
Is it a symptom of a major problem, like it did not get enough oil ?

2003 156 GTA Selespeed - Alfa Rosso + black multispokes, Eibach anti rollbars, Quaife ATB diff, 330mm brakes, Bilstein B12, De-cat wrapped manifolds + EQ downpipes + Ragazzon silencer, CDA intake, (carefully) removed interior & Sparco bucket seats + 6 point harness
2002/6 156 JTS Selespeed - Full Ti interior, late model camshafts, Supersprint manifolds, Ragazzon silencer

Jaaaaag

Usual suspects are oil/water down the well of #1 cylinder, plus sparkplugs that are due for replacement, or possibly failed coil packs or connections there-to!

It is misfiring, backfiring, or just not firing on the 2 cyclinders? I'd agree that coil pack / spark plug is the first place I'd look assuming its just misfiring a bit.

Unfortunately the lady's husband just sold the car so another guy
Makes me sad, i though I could have it so I could fiddle around in it without risking my own 156, but such is not the case...
