This thread might have been done to death, following rathkennades thread and others i pulled the engine apart to replace the seals in the variator and its different to the kit?
From following other threads if the variator has to has a blue cap the seals can be replaced. mine has the blue cap but is very different inside, i.e:
The kit consists of a teflon washer and spring. The one i have has no washer and or spring washers?
Anyone else experience of this?
The variator its self is very simple and not worn inside, the splines are perfect. There is only one O ring seal just below the spring clip on the cam end is noticable worn.
