Any V6 owners with a minor water leak

I've had a minor leak on my 3.2 for a while, only needs a small amount every 6 months to get back above minimum. While servicing it today I think I located the source of the leak.

There is a pipe running along the back of the bottom of the radiator, p/no 60677224. Mine is shot and there is water seeping through a crack in it. It almost looks like Alfa or the maker has welded on a clip and that has started galvanic corrosion. I replaced the thermostat today but I'll need to get the pipe ordered and installed before replacing with expensive Paraflu UP. Here is a couple of pics.

Worth checking this pipe if you ever have your undertray off.

Just saw this from your other post re the 147. I can confirm that when i did my rad in spring, this pipe looked similar and was corroding at the same place. I suspect it will last this winter only.

nice to know its only gonna cost £54 tho !

odd place to have a water hose

Must be a RHD GTA thing..............I think my 2.5 V6 has power steering pipes there and no water pipes

Had exactly the same thing on 2 of ours.

Noticed it when changing the radiators.

Got a bending spring and made the part out of 22mm copper pipe and used some decent P clips - sorted!!

What a a really, really crap original design!!
