147 jtd 16v mjet

Hi iam new this site having just purchased a 147 JTD and i need some advice. the car seems to be lacking any power when in low revs but as soon as hit 2,500 rpm the turbo kicks in and it flies. Could this possibly be a problem with the clutch or one of the sensors (egr,maf ,etc) any advice would be appreciated

Exactly the same happended with my 147 jtd, its 100% the EGR valve at fault.

There's a really handy guide on here that explains a fix for this. it involves taking the egr valve off and cleaning/repairing it. its a simple job, do a seacrh on here there are loads of threads about this issue

Same advice as above. It took me about 2 hours to clean my egr, when I do it next I expect it to take half the time as I know what to expect.

Also consider blanking the egr off? 20 min job if you have a coke can to hand and a pair of tin snips! Do a search in the tuning section

Thanks for all the advice guys found an alfa garage that replaced mine with a recon one fitted for £89 happy days now it drives like an alfa should if any needs an alfa specialist in the mansfield notts area look up afh1
