Alfa Romao 156 tspark veloce 2.0 master cylinder

Hi
does anyone know how to change the clutch master cylinder on my 156 t spark veloce.

Have had a few problems with it, firstly no clutch, went to the floor and stayed their:;
Bled it, no leaks just air and it came back up for about 100 mile then went again.
Bled it again and it came back.
Think it must be the clutch master cylinder?

If it's the master cylinder you will need to remove the inlet manifold - jack up the car and remove lower the engine on the drivers side - there is a head steady on the top of the engine to remove followed by three bolts under the drivers wing - first supporting the engine on a trolley jack with a block of wood under the sump. lower the engine and remove the inlet manifold you will see the master cylinder on the bulkhead. from inside the car you will need to remove the acuating rode from the clutch pedal and two bolts securing the master cylinder to the bulkhead

If it keeps getting air in them the problem is somewhere else ... have you looked for fluid around the slave cylinder? Of course being a TS you can't SEE the slave easily as it's inside the gearbox bellhousing but can probably shine a light in the inspection hole at the top and brake fluid will be coming out the bottom!

Remember the clutch and brakes are fed from the same reservoir, so if you lose a lot of fluid you may find air getting into your brakes as well.
