1.9 JTDM 8v 120bhp ('07) cam belt /pump ?

Possibly (probably) coming back to Alfa after a 2.5 year self-imposed (VW Golf) exile. Anyway - is this considered a decent motor and am I right in thinking that it doesn't suffer in the same way as the 16v unit as regards the water pump / cam belt issue ?
Also - have ARUK revised the cam belt interval down from 72k/6y like the TS petrol engines ?

Cambelt interval is 5 years 72k. No real problems with waterpumps or the belts breaking early so I would suggest the interval is a reasonably safe bet. If you are buying one where the belt has already been changed, make sure they changed the idler bearing as well as the cam belt & tensioner. I wouldn't say a water pump is necessary at 72k, however it is advisable. I changed the cambelt on my 1.9 8v JTD 115bhp at 122k (it had never been changed before!), and the belt, tensioner & idler were all OK-ish, but the waterpump bearings were rough and there was side to side play in it. It can't have had that many more miles left in it to be honest.
