New backbox

I've read the threads and priced up the goods, and decided I'm going to do it on the cheap like the boyracers do, but I'm not going to sit at the lights and rev it, park in the multistory and leave it idling while I play my 'beats' and it rumbles away in the background.

The short of it is that I cant afford 200+ but would like a bit more roar from the back. I'm sure there must be someone on here who has fitted a universal box to their alfa / preferrably 156 (for me to reference to).

This is the backbox I think might suit the *rse end of my 156, it isnt a 6-inch-fit-your-fist-inside-the-tailpipe job. I'm sure LongLife and PowerFlow would do a similar tailpipe in a custom job anyway. Coupled with 1 (maybe 2) of these and a little bit of creativity, and I'm sure I could make it ship shape and MOT passable.

Ideally I would like the upswept to be upswept but that would mean the exhaust would need to go under rather than over the axel. But angling the box would make the upswept tailpipe look like a regular type exit and using the flexi section(s) to go over the axel and back to the standard middle section of pipe.

And while on the subject of exhausts, some may find this a bit chavvy but everyone to their own, the world would be a boring place if all our cars looked and sounded the same. I would like a sound similar to this @ 0:09, i love the raspiness of it

Have a look for whitehooker on here. I've posted a clip that I think you'll love. And well within your budget.

The upswept oval (DTM style?) looks crap on a 156. The previous onwer of my car put one on, I'll dig up a pic in a wee while.

This is the only picture that I have of the offending article (it was removed before I bought the car) but it was awful looking.

Before anyone comments, the dyslexic lights have been removed

Guys, I just meant the sound the Whitehooker makes. They do other styles. Only around €90.

Dan, stop teasing people with stuff you can't deliver ;-)
