De-catting my 156 JTD what differance will it make??

I have been looking at making my car performance better and i have decided that i want to decat it but not sure really how much difference this will make and also how easy is to do?
I have had it remapped last month and it is awsome but i am now getting use to the remap and want a little more out of it, so i understand the that make the car breath better and make the it flow through better will make the performance better.
I have decatted a few cars before and it was as simple as nocking the cat mesh out the exhaust but is it the same for my car and will it make a big differance?

My car is a 2.4JTD 150bhp (now more because of the remap )

P.S will it fail an MOT without the cat (only just had an MOT so dont need to worry for a year)

Gone in 60 seconds but better stood still for 60 minutes, my Alfa Romeo 166, GTV & 156 SW, its an AlfaHolic problem i have

Shouldnt fail without the cat as far as I m aware, that applies to petrols with 3 way cats, yours only has 2.

It does apparently make a difference, but I d go for an induction kit or K & N filter, then a larger intercooler and a new exhaust first mate, as thats were the real gains are.
