ital auto

Hi Guys

Anyone had any dealings with Italauto in Chesterfield?

My Cambelt has just killed my lovely v6 engine and im thinking of buying a recon from Ital as its probably cheaper than getting mine repaired... any feedback?

Cheers

Mark

Hi stranger!

GEt yourself down to Tony and let him do what's needed..he's brilliant. Just did a total engine rebuild on Chris's (foxti40) car (identical to yours) and put sports cams in etc. Did a spanking job..

If you want to talk to Chris about it pm me..we'll arrange a conversation!

BUt all in all, yes, would definitely recommend him!

sorry to have to put in a negative point, but tony did my engine.

although the job was a good 'un, and tony and his guys worked late on into the evening to get it finished for me, the timing was found to be 10 degrees out when i had to have a variator change a couple of thousand miles later.....timing sorted, engine still good though!

High Zender 156, can you let us know what your concerns are? especially as we have only fitted you a second hand engine as a cheaper option for you. We have still warranted the engine for you so if there are any problems it would be good for you to get in touch with us so we can help to sort them for you.
regards tony

Seems a little unfair to make comment on a used motor, and that a variator will advance timing by 25deg's, so may be it wasnt the timing was out just a worn variator...

i've only ever hear good things come for italauto...

biffa, have spoken to tony via PM, and all is cleared up, but fyi and for anyone wondering what my response would be, the engine was a recon unit, not just a second hand lump from a breaker.
