EGR valve baffle plate

I fitted a new EGR valve to my GT yesterday, I tried cleaning out the old one including the solenoid but without success, everything was clean and freed off but the car was absolutely awful to drive, no power whatsoever below 2500 rpm then off like a rocket, a bit like a two stroke. I got a replacement EGR valve from Alfatecnico, it came with a baffle plate which fits between the valve and the manifold for the most part blanking off the orifice apart from 4 holes which if I remember are about 8-10mm in diameter. I was told that this helps prevent carbon build up within the valve extending the service life considerably. If this is the case it may be worth fitting one if you clean out or replace the EGR valve. Can't be more than a couple of quid and may extend the intervals between cleaning.

1.9 and 2.4 16 valve 20 valve hard cap of the ERG because ECU-it grabs it by the flow of MAF sensor. To make a software.
My 159 makes a weird number. At smooth motion, suddenly give accelerate, car for a second to think about 1800 rpm and then go.I clean ERG before 2000 km. But still it does.My problem is that when suddenly give accelerate,ERG not to close so quickly

You mean to say I've forked out yet more hard earned cash when I could simply have had it turned off? Who does that?

Alfa Tuner (above) does it, and AHMotorsports for everything Alfa can too, there may be others too but I haven't heard of them ...

Thanks for that, I'll make a note of it for when it starts acting up again as it inevitably will!
