24v heads on a 12v block wishful thinking?

well is it
a) possible
b) easier than converting a hole 24v to run the right way round on the transaxle

was thinking stand alone ecu rather than messing with later looms in early cars

its all hypothetical at the moment but the list is getting shorter

Smaky's probably the one to ask about that. He's done a load of "impossible" things like this!

Not sure on your run the right way round on the transaxle bit?? Are you meaning crank rotation?? Both 12v and 24v run the same way. I guess swapping heads would be possible but at a huge cost and amount of work, better to just fit a 24 valve in the first place. Plenty 75's have been converted to 24v.

Have a look on the Alfa BB for info, thread to look for would be one of JungleJustice's 3.7 discussions. There's some vids on youtube of his car.
