2.0 selespeed q

i need to know if a 2.0 156 selespeed engine will fill fit in my 156ts 2.o manual,and if it would be a straight fit, or are they different?

Year for year they are exactly the same.

32301 for pre Sept 2000 and 32310 for after Sept 2000.

tanx david c! mine is a 52plate,if the other engine is 99 would i have to change things to make it work?

You'd need bits off the 52-plate engine, such as exhaust manifold etc. Probably the cam sprockets. Anything that's not the main block I guess...

The earlier engines use a different head gasket as well, so bear that in mind if you ever need to change it.

Hold on, a "52" plate should be a JTS, not a TS.....

Are you sure you have a TS?

ye mine is a 52plate tspark..so it doesnt matter that mine is a mnual and the other is a selespeed,its the same engine

If your "52" plate is a TS (very late registered because they were JTS from the 2002 interior facelift which was with "02" reg...), then the 1999 TS engine will fit, but you will need to change the parts already mentioned by Iain above.
