2.4 10v jtd tapping

Hi, After a run to london and back 4 hours non stop running there and the same back my alfa has started to tap quite badly, i am thinking this will be the shims in the top end it has done 97k.
Does anyone know what the clearences should be, and the standard shim size??
Cheers
Graham
