For those of you who have had Cam position sensor faults...

What symptoms did your car have? My Cam position sensor is flagging up as faulty with Unidiag and it doesn't have the typical problems you would associate with a faulty one.

My car started over fuelling recently and that was cured with a new Lambda sensor.

The one symptom my car has is that it sometimes feels like it's lacking power and then when it hits around 5000 rpm it has a surge of power. (Is this typical of a TS engine anyway?)

Unidiag also detected a fault with the Coolant temp sensor but this wouldn't affect performance would it?

A water temp sensor can affect performance, if the car doesn't know it's warm. it could be over fuelling.

When I had a cam position sensor fail, the car ran fine but I didn't drive it so long as to work out economy, etc.
