Do you have an ecu fault on the rev counter?

Does it rev freely when stationary? If not, the CAT(s) may be blocked or broken-up...

yeah when i last did a fault scan it had a after cat lambda showing as faulty - is it possible to disconnect these lambdas to see if the fault clears - i suspect the cats are faulty and thus giving a bad reading to the sensors? thanks

the thing is if you turn off the ignition and then turn on again the power is restored for about 2-3 mins then it reverts back to power loss so i dont think it could be a blocked cat as it does work fine when first started - could this be a cam sensor? thanks

Only way to know really what the issue is, is to connect on with some form of diagnostics. Well worth purchasing and saves a lot of time and hassle.
