The 15w40 is not usually the right one, but may be ok as you probably have constant high ambient temperatures and no real cold starts.
The 10w40 Magnatec is the correct one from their range.

Agreed, go 10w-40 over 15w-40.

Cheers

The second number SAE40 is the thickness of the oil when hot (100degc), the first number with the "w" is the viscosity of the oil when cold (measured at 40degc). The lower the number the more fluid it is at cold temp.

So a 10w will flow around the engine quicker on start up then a 15w but they are both the same viscosity when hot.

Does it affect anything i do with the car or the car itself when compared to the 10w?
