Don't look in this lounge often......tend to expect model-specific enquiries.

If you haven't done the job already, I always remove engine and box together - you have a choice depending on your available equipment - either out the top or drop out the bottom. Either way, its basically just a question of disconnecting all the obvious connections - exhaust, water pipes, fuel pipe, power-steering pipes, electrical connections, accelerator cable, clutch pipe and gear linkages and of course the driveshafts - I seperate them by undoing the six allen key bolts each side - the unit is mounted in four points - the steady bar at the off-side top, rear mount onto the sub-frame, (undo these two first), then the two mounts at front of the engine and box onto the chassis legs - ensure the engine and box is supported before you release these......

If you need any help, give me a shout on 07976 384980 and I'll do what I can to help

I'm glad someone answered me, i'm removing it on my own and i have a 2ton engine lift so its coming out the top... It looks simple enough i was wondering if it was better to remove the box or not, i always dis the driveshafts on the flanges...

i might be giving you a ring when i'm ready, have a to replace the bottom end shells on my replacement unit first...

If it's out I'm too late, but you can replace the engine and gearbox on these without even taking the wheels off.
