2.0 idle roller tool...

guys you know when your doing your belt service and try and get the aux belt idle pulley off no unmodified tool will get in there so i made myself one did the job very quickly and easily. there is a pic, boring i know but though somone out there might find it helpful...

That is similar to the one I made, although on mine I cut the square drive off the socket and Tig welded half a spanner to the top.

Aparrently an offset ring spanner will undo the bolt though.

i agree i'd have to buy a spanner, i made this out of an old 15mm socket and some spare scrap metal, i'd even say it works better than an offset ring spanner...

I think you did a good job with it.

It is always the case that you take the car apart then find you need a tool that you haven't got. Then you need to improvise something.
