Testing a used alternator?

I have a used (assumed good) alternator to fit to my 916 Spider Twin Spark.

Before fitting it (which is obviously a significant amount of work) what tests can I run on the alternator to check it is healthy?

All advice welcome!

Considering the amount of work I'd suggest this

Less than 90 is pretty reasonable for peace of mind.
