1750TBi Timing tools advice needed

Hi, I'm changing the cambelt on my2009 159 1750TBi, The crank pulley has a notch in it as does the housing. I assumed these were timing marks and needed to be lined up, but the crank locking tool doesn't fit when they're lined up. Is this a problem, or should I just ignore these marks?

I haven't locked the camshafts yet, was just checking where the crank locking tool fits.

Many thanks,

Wow it looks just like a twinnie from the side. The crack pulley (which looks identical on a twinnie) also has the notch. It is used to line up the marking on your new cambelt. Not sure about the bottom one though...can't it be an oil drain hole for when the crank seal starts to leak? Oil is detrimental to the rubber in the belt so it might make sense.
