Cambelt interval

Is the mileage-change interval the same for the V6 as the 4 cylinder engines, - 36000?

I thought I'd heard 48,000 for the V6?

Re: Cambelt interval

I would a go with nicky on this one, its better to err on the side of caution. The V6 isn't as prone to snapping belts as the TS, but if it does go it will be more expensive to put right.

Make sure it gets a new waterpump as well, if it hasn't had one already.

Some people say that. In my experience that's overcautious.

I'd say 60K miles is fine, but no more than 4 years..

And if the waterpump has never been changed, get it fitted with the 3.0 V6 GTV waterpump (no impellor issues)
