156 v6 cam belt

Just fitted cam belt after changing head gaskets, rotated engine by hand through half a dozen rotations no problems,fitted auxillary belt, rotated engine, engine locks and cam belt slips on cam wheels. Second time this has happened.any ideas Thanks Jsngold

Did you replace the tensioners and were they correctly tensioned?

Also, did you follow the correct procedure for tensioning the belt?

Thanks david C. I have followed procedure in manual bu have not replaced tensioner, I have just noticed that when the engine is rotated anti clockwise the tensioner de tensions and the belt slips on the botom pulley.
