Here is the long awaited karting event thread

Richard Kelly has done the leg work on this one and has settled on Avago Karting in Chesterfield as the venue 28th November is the date The event is for both AOers and AROC members.

Info update: the karting will start at 1pm so meet up 12.30 or thereabouts. We are doing a Grand Prix style event with qualifying, semi finals and finals etc. You will get around 45 laps and it should last about an hour and a half The price is 35 each and Rich has paid the deposits so we will all owe him and Avago Karting on the day.

The address is:

Avago Karting Chesterfield

Not yet sure I'll be back for this yet. But if I do make it, I propose a similar handicapping system to that used in horse racing. (I'll not have to carry to much lead TBH. )

Definitely agree with Mr. halibut that we ought to introduce a handicap system. My handicap, not only my weight but most of all my driving.

At the moment I have had s0d all positve replies from AROC so it looks like me versus the world of AO. Also Connor & Sophie would like to come so if we can start getting some numbers together we can arrange getting the deposits and finalising it.
