fraid i wouldn't be much use at the moment as mine appears to now be devolping similar symptoms to what you had, so will be very interested in what you mind out, i know for a fact it's not the Lambda sensor on mine as that was replaced a not so long ago by Lewis at Alfa Tecnico, i'm beginning to think MAF possibly, it can be quite jerky when cold, especially 1st thing in the morning, it's like you put your foot down and it wants to go but cant builds up slow then suddenly just takes off, once it's warmed up though it all smooths out again, but got other priorites before i get it investigated, need new discs and pads on the front soon,

Danny, got mine booked in on saturday morning at the place suggested by you and only half the price as quoted by Noble Motorsports so thanks very much.
Will keep you posted what it throws back (if any), i started off the same as you and replaced Lamda sensor and i've also replaced the MAF (among a load of other parts including inlet manifold) so hopefully i'm not that far off getting it right.

hopefully you'll fastrack me to the route of the cause as well then, i've already had the lambda done, which infairness was actually faulty as well as it had thrown up and error code but it wasn't causing the issue i'm having, so good luck

been reading some other threads and it's been suggested dodgy leads or possibly plugs could be a possible cause, so might be worth checking them, if any moisture is getting in over night that could be causing the issue, it could in theory make sense as once the engine is hot obviuously any moisture would evapourate away, i'll investigate this at the weekend? fingers crossed for a simple soloution,
