Hello all

Right then the meet for May is going to be a lovely picnic in the grounds of Elvaston Castle near Derby on the 23rd May. After the roaring success of Halibuts mobile kitchen at Donington and Spring Alfa Day it is natural thing to do. The idea is for everyone attending to bring some form of food or drink and probably some picnic chairs or a blanket so we can set up in proper AO style The picnic is for the whole family so make sure you bring everyone you can

The plan is to meet at 11.30am at Elvaston Castle Country Park Car Park. It does cost 1.50 to park

For info on Elvaston Castle have a butchers here

The address is:
Borrowash Road
Derby,
Derbyshire
DE72 3EP

and a map is here

I will add more details as I work them out

I will also work on a contingency plan should we get rained off, this will involve a family friendly pub somewhere

Keep your eyes peeled for updates everyone

Cheers.

Sorry that these things keep falling bad for ya, Ramster I'm sure the copious amounts of beer and sun will make up for it though

Do they allow disposable bbq's on site. Just might add something extra to the picnic. If They do I dont mind doing the cooking.

i have been known to put together an extremely nice freshly made pizza, the question is however 1. how many people would be willing to eat what would probably be slightly cold pizza by that point, i shall make it as late as possible, orders can be taken meaty, veggie, etc
