Peakalfa

Can I give a shout to Peakalfa in Hope? Took my car there for the first time and was really impressed with Rogers knowledge, and work, he even persuaded me not to spend money when I didn't need to!! Great value. Best Garage IMHO...just a bit out of the way....

Never been there but they used to own my 166, plus the guy I bought it from had his work done there, and she is in great shape.

I'm a first time alfa owner who stumbled on Peak Alfa and probably won't go elsewhere now. Had cam belt, water pump, etc and front discs and pads done over two visits. Roger really knows his stuff. It's really nice to find people who take pride in their work. They also have a tyre place which i'm sure I'll be making use of.

I've used Peak Alfa a few times and my mate did with his 147 recently. Can't fault Roger's service or knowledge really. Nice chap too and likes a chat about Alfas

I do most of my own jobs (including cambelt change) on the JTD but when something big comes up it'll probably go to him cos I know I can trust him to do it right! It's a bit awkward getting home from there if the car needs to be left, but getting there is easy enough as I go within a few miles on my way home on Fridays (M1 is generally best avoided on Friday afternoons!)

My friend's 147 has also been over to AFH1 near Mansfield (new body computer) and they were really good too by all accounts....

Roger did the replacement V6 in the 156 (cambelt failure - fault of a different garage) advised me to do the clutch at the same time to save me some cash in the future (which I did) and I asked him to stick in the Q2 while he was at it.

All fine!

BTW Rogers brother Kevin is based in Wem and does bodywork too.

I found the best thing is to give 'em a bell. They are always willing to chat and discuss things thoroughly. Really good work as well as nice people.

Hopefully a 147

The person who bought my car took me to Peak Alfa today so they could give my car a check over first and I have to say I was very impressed (even if Roger highlighted a few faults with my car!). Very knowledgable and seemed to have a genuine love for Alfas. Also, incredibly friendly. Why can't all car garages be like that?

I'm still in shock that they have a GTV with 400bhp going through the front wheels!

My Car goes no where else now, takes a while to find your garage but Peak Alfa is the perfect place for me and Roger has pretty much rebuilt my car.

He obviously has a passion for Alfa's as business must fund the crazy race cars - its good to see someone that isn't just "in it for the money" like most other garages.

I even swapped a laptop with him for new some 330 brembo's

Very nice area too, Amazing drive back too with a fully functioning car, especially when you get behind a black ferrari on the twisties
my GF liked it so much that we stayed in hathersage a few months back - luckily the car made it and didnt need to be pushed round the corner to their workshop.

He now has a new tyre garage opposite if anyone needs new shoe's in that area.
