Wave Group tuning, anyone interested?

Hi everyone. I am nweish to the site, i joined ages ago but my original registration seems to have expired.
Anyway, I have a GT jtd, my 4th Alfa so far! Would like to get it upgraded, heard a lot of good reports for Angel tuning. I understand they will do discounts for group bookings so I wondered if anyone else in the area was thinking of getting their Alfa (or any other car) done as well.
We also have a Mini One and have been thinking of doing that for a while so that makes two cars already, any body interested?
Don't mind travelling anywhere in Notts/Derby area.

Hi Tim,
I've already had my GT 'angel'd' so I'm out on that front but if you do get anyone else interested give me a shout and we could make some kind of official meet/ tuning day out of it

Hi gtlewi,

thanks for the interest. So, would you recommed it then? I am hoping to get some better economy as well as performance, I tend to get a rather pathetic high 30's mpg.

I definatly recomend angel, I've had two cars mapped by them and have never been dissapointed. I think they can map for economy as well as power so have a word with them and tell them want you want the map to achieve and they will deliver obviously having the 1.9 you'll get far more from a remap than my V6 so get it done and enjoy it

That's no problem for me, I'm waiting for a bonus at work, not expecting that till mid April. So hopefully sometime early May will be ok.

I'm getting a freeflow sports cat and exhaust tomorrow - might be interested in a remap (really want a proper one on a rolling road with before/after printouts) to take advantage of V-Power and see what the twinny will do! Any further news on this? I'm seriously considering going down to London for the red-dot day June 5th, but it's a bit of a trek!

No one has mentioned it to me since, would quite like to have my GT dyno'd so if we can get a few we should be able to sort something out in June?

Angel tuning currently have this on their webby

GET ONE CAR REMAPPED AND A SECOND CAR DONE AT 50% DISCOUNT.
Either have a second car done or share the total cost with a friend. Not applicable to all vehicles, call 087 091 091 16 for details

My GTV remap is 250, so going on that we'd expect to pay 187.50 each. Apparently it's 11+ cars for 33% discount unless anyone is expecially good at sweet talking!

I'm definitely interested - but only if it is a proper custom map for your car, and you get to tune it to your requirements with a before after dyno printout etc. I've just had a sports cat and mid-sports exhaust and want to remap for V-power to get the most out of the kit. I'm hoping for a chunk more torque low down and ~170 bhp which should be easily achieveable. Put me down if Angel are teh people for the job!

Angel use red dot maps, but aren't what you'd call bespoke. If that's what you want I would say red dot, AHM or alfatune are the people to speak to. I have had no problem with angel and have had two cars mapped by them, the difference on the road even in an N/A car is pretty good even without them being custom maps. So its up to you lot really

If you are in that area you might want to consider Alfatecnico too just of J28.

Alfa Romeo Specialist

Lewis is great. Ignore any prices on the site, they aren't very good at updating it. I know my 72k service and cam belt change was very well priced.

But back on topic. I have the Mangos Mod 1 remap on my 2.4jtdm. Is there anything that an angel remap could offer me over this?
