Alfa technico courtesy car?????????

does anyone here have any idea what mods have been made to the silver 156 courtesy car used by Alfa Technico, i've had the car today whilst mine was in having some ARB bushes replaced, and even though it's 4 years older than mine, and got more than double the mileage, it feels waaaaaaaaaaaay faster, even if it is a little worse for wear?

I've driven that too and can certainly vouch that the exhaust isn't standard so perhaps it's that that's making the difference?

gtlewi, I'd be interested to see how you get on with your Q2 when it's fitted. Am contemplating having Lewis fit one to my GT JTD.

oh and the fan/heater only works on numbers 1 3 and 4, on number 2 it turns off, although you tend not to use it so you can hear that gorgeous exhaust, i asked Lewis about it, it's 350 just for the back box, lol, so looks like some saving will be needed before i'll be getting that anytime soon

very true, although working at thorntons isn't all bad, work with some really great people so makes it all the better really, was only supposed to be a part time thing while i was doing my A-Levels, but got offered a full time position, mixing the centres, and at the age of 17 250 a week seemed like a fortune, lol, i'm running my own machine now plus got a couple of staff under me doing my dirty work, gets me about 320 a week, so no brilliant but not too bad for now, pays the bills anyway

keeps my 156 running too, just, lol, seen a nice 2.5 V6 on ebay, just not sure if i can justify the running costs of it still arguing that one out with myself, plus mine seems to be a fairly rare colour too, so not sure i want to give that up really, there were only 3 including mine that colour down in Epsom

I would stick for now, the 1.8 twinny is peach and is probably better than the 2L, plenty of time to let a V6 engine ruin your bank balance

i was thinking the same thing, plus mine is low mileage too, only got 55,00 on the clock, was 54,00 before London, , more than worth it though, make sure you get a go in that silver 156 though, might have seen better days but it's a real hoot, and that exhaust is addictive
