Is there going to be a convoy meet up prior to turning up, so the EA area turn up together?

Maybe we could cobble this up between us? Anybody else interested in a bit of a meet up with a view to travelling in a small convoy to Duxford?
My wife and I would be bringing our two cars, so if Sparto joins up we have 3. I'm sure there may be more lurkers, who would join us?

I'm in Diss - how about we organise a convoy starting from Bury St Eds, then hit the A14 in convoy? We could meet at the Tesco car park near the sugar beet factory?

Went to this in 2011, I think. Convoyed up there, can't remember where we met though. Possibly paid a reduced entry fee on the gate. May have been one of the last AO events i went to. East anglia used to be an active region with regular meets, seems pretty quiet now.

I may well join this. I'd be arriving from the opposite direction though so I won't join up in B St E.

Anyone else coming from the West? Royston/Baldock?

Cross country to Letchworth/Baldock via Hitchin and then A505. Less than 40 miles each way.

Just returned from an enforced lengthy absence, so woulod like to echo what Wibble says as used to be quite active in the area. What went wrong?

I remember you both (Carrotsucker and Wibble) so it'll be good to meet up again.

Nobody wanted to take on the Regional Rep role in the last few years. I organised a couple of meets during that time but do not want to take on the role permanently again.

If anyone out there would like to volunteer that'd be great. You would get support from our Rep Support Team.

@PaulR - do you think the inactivity in the region is down to the lack of a Regional Rep? I know it's a "chicken-or-egg" sort of question, but I'm wondering if we would whip up some more meets and events if there was a local rep.

And (tempting though it is) I'm not certain I should volunteer because of health issues...
