Let's have a meet in March

Ok I have had a PM from rofus who would like to meet up in March - he is busy before then so that sounds good to me.

rofus is based in Norwich and we have organised a couple of events locally in the past. I and others enjoyed them.

What we need is ideas for a meet - so I am asking for suggestions - come on guys.

Also happy to get suggestions from anywhere else in the region - Suffolk/Cambs - as I say - let's do it.

The Spider is SORN at the mo Paul (probably until April) but will try to get along to anything local. Go-karting off the agenda then?

Hi Trevini - meets in this area are few and far between but they do tend to originate from Norwich.

I'd be happy for a trip up the coast road to Cromer for fish and chips on the pier.

Failing that - let's have some ideas guys.

Rofus are you there?

I'd be up for that. I'm over near Lowestoft, so a Norwich start point is fine for me.

I'd be up for a meet and a drive in Norwich if it happens to fall on a day that I'm not working!

Cant do anything this month as the Spider is still SORN and will have a new rad fitted at the beginning of April.

But as a suggestion for a future destination for a meet/visit, how about Caister Castle Motor Museum? (A few miles from Gt Yarmouth - open from May 13th - 27th Sept, but not Saturdays )

Don't think its on a Beaulieu standard but somewhere to go..

April works for me, but can only do weekends due to work. Caister museum sounds ok.

Ok - taking notes - I'll wait a few more days to see if there are any more takers then I'll organise something.

I don't know if members are aware, but on Sunday 4 May 2014 there is the 44th Ipswich to Felixstowe Road Run meeting up at Christchurch Park, Ipswich. Cost £14 distance approx. 13 miles. Park up on the front on arrival.
This is open to all cars built on or before 30 April 1984, entry forms can be obtained from the Ipswich Transport Museum: [email protected]
I have entered my Spider S2 and would be delighted to see others supporting the marque, so do hope this is of interest.

Either, but my pref would be the GTV. I do like the noise of a good V6.

I'll probably be in the Maser if I can be forgiven for bringing a non Alfa on the day.

No probs Metat014 but would you mind opening another thread to publicise this event? That way we can keep the two things separate - thanks.

I'm definitely up for a meet but March is a little full now. April or May would work better for me... weekends only but not the second Saturday as I have prior commitments on those days

I think maybe 5/6th or 12/13th April date wise. I reckon we'd be better off avoiding Easter Bank Holiday like the plague.

I can't do 19/20th April, 3rd May (Auto Italia show), or 17th May (BMF Rally - working).

Other than that, I can work around most dates. Sundays tend to be better for me.
